Cyst like lump between fingers and lesion in pituitary

Resolved Question:

What is this?

and can it be related to the lesion found in the pituitary which has been misdiagnosed as rathkes cleft, then "arachnoid wall weakening," "benign and not worry about..

I've had this cyst like lump in between my fingers for around years, it seems to fill up and cause pain cyclicly. Usually directly after i've had a bout of illness it will be full and hurt, but I will generally feel more well besides this, then it will subside again.

I've had all kinds of problems over the past 2 years, from severe fatigure, to elevated liver transamines, to heart arythmia problems but most concerning to me is the confusion and problems with balance it causes.

I'm wondering if this cyst could be related, some disease, is it possible to have these elsewhere in the body? could systemic inflammation be causing the swelling

Hello,

Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.

The swelling looks like a Ganglion cyst. This arise near joints and ligaments due to accumulation of fluid. This most likely has no relationship to the pituitary lesion or the other systemic symptoms you are having. The pain during the bout of illness is due to the inflammation of the cyst (as like any other part of the body).

If the cyst is troublesome it can be removed safely by a simple surgical procedure.

Hope this helps
