What causes trichaminiasis? How can I cure it? Is it curable? How can I sooth the terrible itching ? Can it be cured at home ? How long will it take to cure? Will it go away on its own ? I've never had an std before. So I'm freaking out over here.
I feel you have vulvovaginitis which is condition where there is irritation and itching of the genital area. Inflammation (irritation, redness or swelling) of the labia majora, labia minora, or perineal area can occur along with foul smelling vaginal discharge, discomfort or burning when urinating.Any inflamed area can bleed on touching especially on vigorous manipulation.
Candida albicans, which causes yeast infections, is one of the most common causes of vulvovaginitis. They present with genital itching and a thick curdy white vaginal discharge. They are treated with antifungal drugs which can be used orally or vaginally.
Another cause a common STD is Trichomoniasis, and it also presents with symptoms similar to yours.
Ideally you have to consult a gynecologist who can examine you directly and if required order a swab culture to confirm the organism. However if it is not possible i will advise the following for 5 days. Let me know if it is helpful,
1) Tab. Metronidazole 400 mg thrice daily after food for 5 days.
2) Candid-B cream for local application in the affected spot ( will reduce the redness, itching and prevent the fungal infection if any )
3) Maintain local hygiene. Wash the area with clean water. Avoid tight fitting under garments, and douching.
4) Tab. Claritin 10 mg once daily at bed time for 3 days.
Please take the above mentioned treatment. Your symptoms will subside. In case it does not you need to get the swab culture as i mentioned. Please do not worry, it is definitely treatable. The earlier you start the treatment, the better.
You will need your local doctor to write you a prescription for the drugs i mentioned.
Regards.
