Pink streak in toilet after MASTURBATION, smoker. CANCER?

Resolved Question:

Hi,

im a 26 year old male, smoker no history of any problems except piles.

on sept 28th, i noticed a pink streak in the toilet bowl- from the front leading downwards slope to the water in the bowl. i thought it was piles.

yesterday the same thing happened. i know it cannot be piles because there is no way stool/stool discharge gets to the front of the bowl where it is directly below the penis when sitting.

i had masturbated twice in an hour before i went for a bowel movement. and the streak looked "sticky" and not "clear, without any texture as urine would be".

no other symptoms and only 2 times this has happened. my questions are:

1. is it any kind of bladder or urinary tract cancer?

2.since first it happened nearly 6 weeks ago and happened again since then yesterday, can cancer be ruled out?

3.is it urine or semen/discharge from masturbation since it was a sticky line/streak in a straight line. urine tends to have spots/rounds and even though urine is yellow at times,it leaves no streak and does not have a sticky texture.

4.if its cancer- how long does it take before it spreads and more obvious symptoms show? like months or weeks etc?

No sexual history for past 4 years

Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
From your description it appears you are having blood in semen rather than urine. Blood in urine is not a worrisome condition and resolves by itself over a period of 8-12 weeks.

However, I shall still like you to be investigated with ultrasound KUB to rule out any other ailment. Possibility of your having cancer is very minimal and you should stop worrying and stay reassured.
Feel free to discuss further,

Take care
Sincerely
Rajiv Goel

Patient replied :

but if its cancer- would it have progressed since the first day (september 28) i had the blood till now? how long does it take?
if its from semen, what is the cause?
when i masturbate i do not ejaculate but i hold it back in- could it be due to that?
please explain in detail sir

Hello,
Likelihood of having cancer at your age is very minimal. However, even if we assume that you have cancer then chances of it spreading in 6 weeks are remote.
Usually there is no cause for blood in semen and it settles by itself. However, in few patients it is caused by raised blood pressure and you should get it checked. Holding on to the semen while ejaculating does not cause blood to come in semen.
Regards.
