Irritation in penis post voiding after sex. NSU?

Resolved Question:

I'm a man and 7 months ago I received unprotected oral from a sex worker.

After that I had months of stress and anxiety and I had a full set of STD tests 1 months after and then 4 months after.

I had some urethral irritation in my penis but I was checking and opening it a fair bit, both sets of STD tests came back negative and the GUM clinic said low risk and that there next steps was counseling for guilt as they wouldn't test again.

Last week I was again feeling irritation in my penis post voiding and maybe a discharge of clear fluid non viscose and no smell.so visited my GP who did a quick Urine test and said there was Protein and Blood in my urine and prescribed Trimethoprim200mg twice a day for 7 days for a uti and sent the sample for further tests.

I then went to std clinic, they conducted a urethral swab and said white bloods cells exist and diagnosed non specific urithritus prescribed Doxy twice a day for 7 days. Then results from the urine test come back clear for Gonohrea and Chlamydia so it remains NS. I.e. the tests from the std clinic. The doctor tests for uti came back clear also.

I sometimes feel a sensation in my perenium\prostate area like a dull ache

After 14 days of strict use of doxcycline the irritation and dribble\discharge are the same as before no change

Can any one advise me on what bacteria could be causing the NSU?

And what are the chances of prostitis after 3 negative test for gonohrea and chlamydia?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
In most of the patients with non specific uretheritis you don't find any bacteria on examination and it is purely because of inflammation and it usually subsides after course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications. If it does noyt settle with medications then it settles by itself with passage of time.
Prostatitis has no relation to chylamdia and gonorrhoea and since you are suffering from NSU you can develop prostatitis. If you develop prostatitis then you shall have to seek treatment for the same.
Take care
Sincerely

Hi Doctor

Thanks for the response, if the medication hasn't cleared up the nsu and I stil have nsu symptoms including clear discharge and I have not had sex why isn't the nsu going away?
Could it be nonbacterial? As in the antibiotics aren't working?
Thanks

As I have informed you earlier also a lot of patients shall also need anti-inflammatory medications also. Start yourself on anti-inflammatory medication and alpha blocker under the care of your urologist and your symptoms shall improve.
Take care
