Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
In most of the patients with non specific uretheritis you don't find any bacteria on examination and it is purely because of inflammation and it usually subsides after course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications. If it does noyt settle with medications then it settles by itself with passage of time.
Prostatitis has no relation to chylamdia and gonorrhoea and since you are suffering from NSU you can develop prostatitis. If you develop prostatitis then you shall have to seek treatment for the same.
Take care
Sincerely
Dr Rajiv Goel

Hi Doctor
Thanks for the response, if the medication hasn't cleared up the nsu and I stil have nsu symptoms including clear discharge and I have not had sex why isn't the nsu going away?
Could it be nonbacterial? As in the antibiotics aren't working?
Thanks
As I have informed you earlier also a lot of patients shall also need anti-inflammatory medications also. Start yourself on anti-inflammatory medication and alpha blocker under the care of your urologist and your symptoms shall improve.
Take care
