Hello.
Thanks for using DoctorSpring.com for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
Well, the phenomenon that you are experiencing is called episodic de-realization and it does happen with marijauna. Infact patients have even reported such episodes months after they had their last smoke. So there is nothing much to worry and there is no medical cure. It will wean off by itself and such episodes are commonly reported for initial 7-10 days after taking marijuana.
However, try to refrain from taking weed further as it may not suit you and you may even go on to develop full blown psychiatric illness.
Hope this was helpful.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
Wish you good health.
Kind regards,
Dr. Srikanth Reddy MD.

Thank you so much for the information; it makes me feel much better that it should go away in a few days.
I just have a couple follow-up questions. Do you have any theories as to why it happens when I'm eating specifically?
Is there a strong likelihood of developing "full blown psychiatric illness" if I continue smoking/what kinds of illness can develop?
Lastly, is episodic de-realization as you diagnosed similar to depersonalization? My friend gets depersonalization and I'm just wondering if they're related.
Thanks again, I really appreciate the help.
Hello.
Well, its difficult to explain why it is occuring only when you eat. It could be a coincidence as well.
When I say full blown psychiatric illness, it can be either depression or an anxiety disorder or even schizophrenia.
Derealization is a bit different from depersonalization but both are disorders of experience. They are very much similar in many aspects.
Life would be certainly better without the weed!
Regards.
