Resolved question:
I have problems with swallowing food and liquids. My ENT looked down my throat and couldn't see anything wrong. Now he thinks it might be psychological and prescribed me Citalopram 10 mg and Lorazepam 1mg. I took one of each daily for 5 weeks and noticed my anxiety way up. Last week I saw him again and now he wants me to take Ansiben 20mg for 3 months and 30 day supply of lorazepam 1mg. So you think this new medication will help my condition with obssessive thinking and worrying. Since I choke often that is always on my mind . Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for your patience while awaiting a reply from our end. We sincerely appreciate it.
Before I can advise you to make changes to cymbalta (duloxetine) I would like to know the following:
1) For what original reason were you prescribed cymbalta ? It can be given for several reasons (anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, chronic muscle pain or diabetic peripheral neuropathy) and if cymblata is producing these side effects I need to know what are you being treated for so we can suggets alternatives.
2) 20mg is about the most minimum which can be given, are you taking this dose once or twice a day?
3)The side effects that you mentioned: sleeplessness, increased anxiety are knwn side effects to cymbalta. Even so, this medication cannot be stopped suddeny, the dose needs to be slowly tapered off. So while we figure out a plan, please continue to take your medication.
I look forward to your reply,
