Hello,
Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern.
From the history you provided it seems to be a case of candidial (yeast) infection.
The best treatment for it would be application if clotrimazole cream twice a day.
Also oral anti fungal tablet fluconazole will be helpful. However, you will need a prescription for this medication.
Herpes usually presents as a cluster of tiny water filled blisters accompanied by burning sensation or pain. Hence it doesn't seem to be herpes in your case.
Hope I have answered all your queries. In case, if you have any queries, please let me know.
Take care.
Patient replied :
Is there still a chance of it being herpes even if my sexual partner fir a year has not had a symtom. Also can you get a yeast infection even if your sexual partner doesnt have it? And if untreated how long does yeast infection take to heal?
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
You can get yeast infection even if your partner does not have it. If left untreated it can keep going on n on till you treat it.
From your description it doesn't seem to be herpes. It seems to be yeast infection.
However, just for your information,
Even if your sexual partner does not have herpes, you can still get it. People do not have symptoms but can still pass on the virus.
