Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.
This doesn't seem to be genital herpes, it's an irritant contact dermatitis, it could be due to a condom if you used one two weeks ago or it could be due to any applications of creams etc.
I would recommend application of neosporin and cortisone cream twice a day for two weeks.
That will resolve the irritation. If you have taken valtrex for a week, you can discontinue it now. If not, then a total of a week's course can be completed.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care

Thanks for your answer. I haven't used any condom or anything... is there any medication I can also go on to get rid of this?
Why do you think it is not Herpes? I am sorry but I am just very very worried and scared. There is another patch of skin that just came up and it is very dry but not an ulcer.
Thanks
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
I can understand your concern.
In herpes there is a cluster of fluid filled blisters. However, in your case there are no such lesions. Hence it doesn't seem to be herpes.
The application of cortisone and neosporin cream twice a day for two weeks will help in resolving your concern.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
