This may be due to trauma or injury to the penis usually through sexual activity. It is not caused due to any sexually transmitted infection. Treatment for this is usually done by a specialist urologist. Initially the treatment is conservative, focusing on reassurance and observation. Vitamin E supplements and colchicinesis used as oral treatment, tamoxifen, verapamil and interferon Alfa- 2b can be considered. Extracorporeal shock wave treatment can also be used. In case of surgery penis plication can be done in advanced cases.
