Hello, Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.
From your symptoms of spontaneous bruising without any history of trauma, suggests platelet disorder.
Platelets play a very important rule in clotting system that is it prevents easy bleeding from vessels. But, there are certain medications and diet that can alter platelet activity like, aspirin, warfarin and fish oil, ginger, garlic repectively. These foods and medictions have property to thin the blood and it is shown under the skin as bruising.
Therefore, if you are taking any of these medications or food excessively I suggest you stop for a period of two weeks and observe if the bruising subsides. If bruising persists even after two weeks, you are likely suffering from platelet disorders. You need to to do a blood test, where you have to measure bleeding itme, PT, PTT and INR.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask follow-up questions.
