Do I have hemorrhoids?

Resolved Question:

hello, so my 12-year-old daughter recently just told me that she has been having trouble when she goes to the bathroom, and there's been blood on the toilet paper when she wiped. And the a little later she told me there is a flap of skin near her anus that she thinks has been causing it, and I have been very curious and wondering if its anything serious or a hemorrhoid?

I can understand your concern and will answer your queries the best possible. Your symptoms are probably due to a chronic anal fissure or hemorrhoids. It usually presents with blood in the rectum and pain during defecation. The chronic fissure is a linear tear in the lower anal canal while hemorrhoids is a condition where there is dilatation of blood vessel. There are 4 types of hemorrhoids:

a)First-degree hemorrhoids: piles within that may bleed but does not come out.

b)Second degree hemorrhoids: piles that prolapse during defecation, but returns back spontaneously.

c)Third degree hemorrhoids: Piles prolapsed during defecation, can be replaced back only by manual help.

d)Four-degree hemorrhoids: Piles that are permanently prolapsed.

I would suggest you to get a complete blood test and stool routine and get an endoscopy done. You can use painkiller like ibuprofen twice a day after food for a week and consume a high fiber diet, use a local anesthetic cream like lignocaine 2% foe application after passing stools. Try this for 3-4 days, and then consult your surgeon.
