Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I need to know a few details before i can come to a conclusion.
- Do you have any associated chest pain?
- Do you have any history of heart disease in the family?
- Do you have orthopnoea ( breathless on laying down )?
- How is your urine output?
- Have you taken a recent ECG ?
If you have not taken a recent ECG, you ned to take one. That will give a better picture.
Also once you reply to the above questions, i will be able to guide you further.
Regards.
Patient replied :
1. I have had chest pains over the last few years old patientof my life, but I assumed they were unassociated with the arrythmia. Since I've had this weird heartbeat sensation, I have not noticed any associated pain however.
2. My paternal grandfather I believe had heart disease.
3. No orthopnoea
4. Urine output is regular.
5. Yes I took an ECG on July 1st and results were normal.
Hello
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
You have an occasional extra beat which makes you symptomatic. It could be an atrial or ventricular extrasystole. When does your chest pain occur. At rest or on exertion? What kind of pain is it? Burning stabbing pricking choking heaviness or othrr type.
For your irregular hwart beats I would recommend a 2d echo abd 24 hour holter examination so that we come to know the type of arrhythmia that is ongoing as well as whether there is a structural abnormality in heart.
