Resolved question:
dear Dr thank you for your valuable suggestion. I have taken steam inhalations and a Levocetrizine as you suggested and I observed quick relief of my symptoms. But now suddenly there is severe cough with yellow coloured discharge that is coming from my nose. One of my friend told that this could be tuberculosis. I'm very much worried. I have these symptoms only for two days. I am doing my engineering and none of my family members or neighbours have similar symptoms. Is anything that I had to worry about? Am I supposed to take any medication for this? Will this go off easily?

Hello. Thanks for updating your problem here. Usually, our body secretes submucous to combat the infection and to eliminate the infection from our body. When this mechanism gets interrupted or when the body gets infected with virulent bacteria, the secretions build up and result in symptoms such as those you described. dust, bacteria, viruses and all other foreign particles are carried away towards the throat through cough. Thus, eliminating the infection and the pooled up secretions from the body. In your case, the green colored discharge, which you have described, could be a sign of bacterial infection. And tuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The presentation is very typical with cough, evening fevers and with a history of recent exposure to the contacts. You apparently, have neither of these symptoms. antibiotics. I advise you to consult a physician for evaluating your present condition and the need for further management. Hope this helps.
