White coloured vaginal discharge with negative BV, YEAST.

Resolved Question:

Hi, I have been having white colored abnormal vaginal discharge, treated for yeast and BV but it turns out the tests came back negative for BV and yeast. All STD tests are also negative. My Obgyn doesn't know what this is or how to treat it or what to do. I need help please, thanks.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
Please get a vaginal swab and culture done.
As long as the discharge is not foul smelling, and there is no itching / pain / tenderness, then you do not actually need treatment for this.
It could be just increased vaginal discharge.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.

Thank you for the reply. I've been to the OBgyn and they have done several vaginal cultures and swabs. The only thing she is telling me is that my ph is high but nothing abnormal is going on. I can't live like this, I'm freaking out. I cannot be intimate because white stuff is all over the condom and that's really scary. My Obgyn did recommend Luvena OTC but it's not helping. This has been going on for 2 months and I don't know what else to do.

Well, some women just have increased vaginal discharge.
Since all cultures are negative, obviously there is no infection.
Luvena is a moisturizer, that would only increase secretions.
Please dont use that , when you already have profuse discharge.
IS this observed only at certain phases of the menstrual cycle or before / after sex, or is this a constant issue ?
Regards.

Patient replied :

This just started 2 months ago and the discharge is constantly there no matter what time of the month it is. It doesn't seem to be going away. Never had this discharge before. It looks white like a yeast infection.

IF it was a yeast infection, it would show up on the swab.
You could be having some cervical lesion causing the discharge.
Please get a Pap smear done and a pelvic ultrasound scan also.
Regards.

Patient replied :

Pap smear negative, my Obgyn ran all the tests and she said nothing is wrong with me.

Exactly !
I too do not think there is anything wrong here.
This is just increased vaginal discharge, normal discharge, that some women experience.
NOthing to worry about at all.
Regards.
