Hello,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring. I am Dr. Kini and I am pleased to assist you.
Hunger like pain in the abdomen which gets relieved with eating indicates peptic ulcer disease. An upper GI endoscopy may be done. It will confirm whether you have an ulcer. If you an ulcer is found, you should get tested for H.pylori infection and if found positive , you need to take antibiotics for it.
For now I have the following recommendations for you :
1. As a first step for relief of pain, you need to take medications like prilosec. Prilosec is an anti ulcer medication. You can take it once daily for 14 days just before sleep.
2. You also need to avoid painkiller medications, alcohol and smoking ( if you have these habits).
3. Avoid spicy and irritant food
4. Take meals at regular intervals. Do not skip meals
The fainting episodes could be due to low Haemoglobin. Kindly mention this to your Doctor. He/She will order for this test also.
Hope this helps
Please feel free to ask followup questions.
