Hello. Thank you for your query.
I am really sorry for your present condition. I shall do my best to cover all the aspects of your case.
Serotonon is a chemical compound that is found in the human body and it is assumed that it has a role in mood alterations and depression. Mirtazapine is an antidepressant that has its effects via serotonergic receptors . The common side effects of Mirtazapine are somnolence , dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, joint and muscle pain, increased appetite that ultimately lead to weight gain. Antidepressants like Mirtazapine are not indicated for long durations like 2 years as in your case. While taking the drug off, it should be tapered gradually over weeks to avoid rebound depression and dependency.
Tramadol is an opioid analgesic, that is used to treat painful conditions like Rheumatoid arthritis, restless leg syndrome, motor neuron disease etc. It is associated with withdrawal symptoms like muscle contracture, pain in the legs. Thus it is tapered gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms. In your case, the sudden discontinuation of tramadol would have given you the symptoms of leg pains. Pregabalin is a newer pain modulating drug, usually prescribed for nerve related pain.
In your case, as you are on multiple drugs, I would recommend you to consider consulting a physician for a perfect treatment. Also I would like to suggest not to take any self medications other than those that are prescribed.
Hope this helps.
