Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
You have a goiter, that's just an enlarged thyroid. You need to test thyroid functions by TSH, T4, T3 and tpo antibodies. Fine needle aspiration for cytology needs to be done too. Further treatment can be decided later.
Surgery is the last resort.
Kindly ask your endocrinologist and get the investigations done and get back to me with your values.
Regards.

So I had an ultra sound and he found noduals the left size was very large 4 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm he saw some bloodflow though the nodual that he desribed as suspicious but not nessarily cancer then he looked at the right side and he saw a nodual that was much smaller but looked more suspicious. He said that regardless of whether it is cancerous I would need surgery because the left side is starting to obstruct my airway. He is doing all the test excpet the t3 test and I get the neddle test into each nodual next Wednesday. ANything else I should ask?
Yes, you will require surgery as nodule is 4cm irrespective of your needle test. It is the only way to definitively exclude cancer of thyroid.
