Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
Now, if the ultrasound shows that the baby was conceived around the 13th of October, she cannot have conceived from the intercourse on the23rd - 25th of October.
Again, if she had conceived on the 23rd of September, it would show up on the scan.
So it is highly probable that the baby is not yours.
Now I need a few more details to opine more accurately -
1. You need to upload the ultrasound scan REPORT ( not images, but the report ).
2. Next, what were the possible days of intercourse with any other guy ?
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.

Hello again,
Thanks for the reply and I'm sorry it took me a while to get the report on the laptop.
I sent you the latest report (30th dec) and also the first one she had (25th nov) of her ultrasound. She's having the next one 27th of January. With what she tells me its during the week between 22-28th of September that she had previous intercourse.
I'm trying not to take to much responsibilty until I am certain it is mine. Is there anything else I can provide you with to give me your opinion?
Best regards,
Carl

Could you kindly translate the findings of both the scans into English and send me the text ?

Patient replied :

Since my spanish is not good enough to translate all the medical terms I've used a translator. I hope it makes sence..

Day of last menstruation is the 17th of October.
In the first scan it says:

""to 5.4 weeks of gestational age amenorrhea.
Conserved form and size. Echostructure homogeneous.
diameters: Longitudinal 85 mm 48 mm anteroposterior 57 mm transverse
Gestational sac 21mm x 18mm x 9mm is observed. No embryo is displayed insside. Periovular support collection hematoma is noted with 25mm x 6mm. I suggest Control in 7 days.
attachments: Right ovary: liquid image has regular 27mm walls suggestive of corpus luteum. Measures: 40mm x 27mm
Left ovary: sonographic features preserved Measures: 24mm x 12mm.
Douglas Space: Free.""

In the second scan it says:
""The examination shows uterus increased in size at the expense of single gestational sac and embryo unique interior that is 43 mm, which corresponds to 11.2 weeks of gestation. Positive cardiac activity. Decidual proper direction.""

Makes sense to a helpful extent !
Would you let me know the date of the second ultrasound scan please ?

Patient replied :

As I said in a previous message the second scan is made the 30th of December.
What do you think the odds are that it is mine?

According to the scan reports, she most probably conceived around the 13th - 14th of October.
However, there is a possibility ( slight ) that the baby is yours, since first trimester scans have an inherent error margin of upto 5 - 7 days.
IF she had conceived from the intercourse around the end of September, the baby growth would have been more advanced than 11. 2 weeks in the December scan.
Yes, this is dicey because the dates are close together.
A DNA paternity test would be conclusive.
IT cannot be ruled out that the baby is yours.
If she had NO intercourse after the 28th of September, then chances are quite high that the baby is yours.
Take care.
