Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your mom's symptoms. The most likely cause of her symptoms could be migraine. She needs preventive medications to reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms. The common medications that could help her are flunarizine, topiramate and divalproex tablets.
In addition, for relief of symptoms, she can take Naproxen tablets for headache and betahistine tablets for dizziness.
If a brain scan has not been done before, it may be done to exclude any brain disease, such as lack of blood flow to brain.

She took Topiramate 25 mg but her whole body was itching and tongue was swelling. Then the doctor changed to Sibelium 10 mg and tool Naproxen 500mg, she had a reaction. her leg was moving suddently, her head was moving suddenly etc. Whole night she couldn't sleep. Earlier, doctor gave Grenil which she used to take when she had vomitting, dizziness and servere headache. She never had reaction with this Grenil which has Paracetamol and Domperidone.
Thank you for getting back.
Grenil can be continued for relief of symptoms, however, this medicine would not reduce the recurrence of symptoms. For that another medicine such as propranolol or divalproex may be given. If there are side effects or inadequate relief, then, botox injections may be given.

I have the following queries:
1. Doctor changed the medicine to Eliwel 10. But I read that this medicine should not be prescribed to cardiac patients.
2. Can I take the print out and take the medicines which you prescribed online?
Thanks & Regards
Pramod.
Thank you for getting back.
1. Eliwel is better avoided in cardiac patients, although 10 mg is a small dose.
2. You can get it prescribed by your family physician or local doctor, as print out is not accepted.
