Hello

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

I can understand your concern.

I have reviewed the reports but i would like to request you to send me the reference values if mentioned wroth the trichoscan report.

Also i notice that you mention about the lips. Since how long are they of that colour? Could you send me a picture.

Regarding the greying of hair are they all grey or is there a specific distribution? Have you noticed that they are particularly grey at the front only?

I am just trying to rule out any correlation between the concerns that you mention.

Take care

THANKS DR REF VALUES ANAGEN HAIRS % GREATHER THAN 80% TELOGEN HAIRS % LESSER THAN 20% VELLUS HAIRS LESSER THAN 0.50% TERMINAL HAIRS GREATHER THAN 99.50% REGARDING HAIR COUNT AND HAIR DENSITY NO REF RANGE BUT HAIR COUNT AND HAIR DENSITY OF SCANNED AREAS ARE REDUCED BY 2/3 WHEN COMPARED TO LAST YEAR SCAN
THE HAIR IS NOT FULLY GREY SOME STRANDS FULLY GREY AND SOME AT THE BOTTOM AND SOME AT THE TOP
NOTE : HER ERYTHROCYTE ZINC LEVEL WAS HIGH ie 1746 PPB (NORMAL 643--1594)
THATS WHY I AM VERY MUCH CONCERNED
LIP PICTURES UPDATED

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I agree the terminal hair density has gone down. Vellus hair come down as age progresses. They are present at birth and then they shed off As the child grows.

I would recommend an improvement in her nutrition as oral vitamin supplements alone cannot help proper hair growth.
Her diet needs to contain proteins, iron, calcium n vitamins. This will stimulate better hair growth.

Application of solutions like neoptide containing decapeptides which are growth factors will be useful.

I would recommend a visit to a dermatologist for physical evaluation so as to rule out any other local cause of hair loss.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Patient replied :

What about the dose of biotin and b5.. I have attached lips pictures and please give advice for that . about neoptide it's safe for kids aged 8...

Hello

Thanks for the picture.

I wouldn't label this as vitiligo. Its normal lip colour. The upper lip is a little dark. At this age i would just advise moisturizing the lip twice daily.

Take care

Patient replied :

Thanks dr What about the dosage of b5 and biotin

Biotin 5 mg is good enough. I don't really recommend vitamin B5 seperately but a multi vitamin Would be the best.
Regards.
