Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
This extra beat could be a result of anxiety and even muscle twitching can't be ruled out.
If you have no cardiac symptoms, you can safely ignore this extra beat feeling.
Any reason for anxiety?
Regards.

I had an echo recently which showed my septum at 1.4cm so maybe anxious because of that.. I can see the twitch in chest muscle when it happens.. Surely if it was an abnormal rhythm then I'd feel it in my pulse at the same time as my chest?
Hello,
Yes i reviewed your case.
There is nothing to worry about.
Anxiety is causing the symptom. You need to get past this phase. Undue anxiety will cause a lot of problems further. I can assure you, your health is really good. It is definitely not an abnormal rhythm.

But I am totally calm and my chest is twitching every few seconds.. My question here is if it was heart then I'd feel it my wrist at the same time?
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up.
Yes for example if there was an arrhythmia, or a beat occuring so frequently, you definitely would feel it at your wrist simulataneously.
Regards.
Patient replied :

Hello,
With all the reports and your entire medical history it is difficult to ascertain those twitchings to cardiac causes.
Other causes are panic attacks or generalised anxiety disorder.
If the twitchings are sudden and of recent onset, then you can go back to your cardiologist for a physical examination just to rule out cardiac causes.
Regards.
