Resolved question:
I have been very exhausted for months. I also have gained 22 lbs unexpectedly. I am healthier than ever in the sense that I work out 4x a week. No carb healthy diet. Limited Alcohol. Due to exhaustion I took adderal - when I took it I would crash!! so sleepy. I switched to Vyvance and the same is sleepy and sweating. I did blood work and my Doctor put me on Vitamin D 5000MG daily. Vitamin B12 injections once a week. She tested me and my adrenal glands and they said I wasnt making Cortisol. And she gave me Armour for T3. She said if I take the T3 medicine before fixing my adrenal gland I will crash even harder which did happen. I just have so many questions about why this is happening? what does it mean regarding the adrenal gland? Why the weight gain? oh and she took me off of my Birth control for the first time in 17 years...

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
If you make less cortisol, you dont gain weight, unless you are taking steroids which cause weight gain and that suppresses your cortisol.
I d'ont know why she took you off your pills. BRCA2+ may be the reason. You need to ask her that.
Weight gain of this degree has to be related to poor diet and exercise. No disease would cause such a weight gain without anything else being abnormal.
You need to share your cortisol, thyroid , blood sugar reports.
Feel free to discuss further.
