Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Basically, for calculating the EDD ( expected date of delivery ) - it is more important to know the date of the LMP ( last menstrual period ).
Could you let me know that ?
Going by whatever information you have provided otherwise, if conception occurred on March 15th 2013, then presumably ovulation occurred then.
Now ovulation generally occurs on day 14 in a 28 day cycle.
So assuming her LMP was 1st of March , her expected date of delivery becomes 8th of December.
She would deliver by then.
OF course, it will help me to be more accurate if I know her LMP
Take care.
Patient replied :
I am not sure of her LMP , only that one Dr gave her a Nov 24th due date and another Dec 7th , But she has not had the baby and it is Dec 29th. She does not tell me much that is why i am asking elsewhere. Is it still Normal to have the baby within the next couple of days , considering that March 15th ,2013 was the last day we were together. I ask because i am beginning to worry.
If March 15th was the last date that you were together, then it is fairly abnormal that she has not delivered yet !
It would make her at least 43 weeks complete and going on the 44th week, which is not at all normal.
Please post me her earliest pregnancy ultrasound scans, that would confirm the situation.
Take care.
