Resolved question:
I was in my 4th night if begining scuba diving lessons. Apparently my mask was on two tight (some (red welts btwn my eyes and above my nose and a little headache ate evidence) When I went to clear my mask (Blowing forcefully out my nose) under water about 8ft deep I Experienced some pain in my ears. It subsided quickly so I finished my lesson. Now home hours later both of my ears feel clogged and theres a dull ache in them. Almost like they need to be popped. Should I be concerned?

Hello.
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your problem.
You are suffering from ear block and dull ache following blowing out nose.
This is due to Eustachian tube dysfunction (connecting tube between ear and nose). Abnormal closure of nasal end of tube causes pressure changes in middle part of ear( behind ear drum). Due to negative pressure ear drum (tympanic membrane) get retracted.
For treatment of same you can start following medication
Tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg once in night for 2-3 weeks.
You can take analgesic medication if required including Tab. Paracetamol 1 gm as and when required.
To maintain Eustachian tube function you can do Valsalva maneuver (Blowing out air like balloon with closed mouth and closing nostril by pinching the nose).
Hope this helps
