Hello Mr. Bharat,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I have seen the reports that you sent and all her reports are really good considering her age, and the only issue is cholesterol. That can be controlled with Statins. So i will come back to that later.
Regarding her chest pain, since she is a known asthma patient and due to climate change she's suffering from allergies, it is leading to the chest pain, Even wheezing occurs after severe attacks of allergy. That will hamper her daily life routine. I will advise you to stop using Cetrigen, and insted use Tab. Montek-LC ( Montelukast + Levocetrizine ) for 7 days, once daily at bed time and let me know if the symptoms subside.
Also at her age group it is better that you also get an ECG done to rule out cardiac ailments.
What is her blood pressure? Does she have any thyroid disorders?
What medicine is she taking for her cervical problem? ( You have not mentioned what she has exactly, Cervicitis or something else? )
Once you get the ECG done, seeing her heart status i can recommend STATINS for use which will help in reducing her cholesterol levels. It has to be controlled since as you know, it is a leading cause of atherosclerosis, and other serious issues like MI/STROKE in the future.
I am not sure about homeopathy because that is not my area of expertise. However i can assure you that Montek-LC will help her with her symptoms.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, i’ll get the ECG Done in the coming weekend. Currently the blood pressure is normal. She don’t have any thyroid disorders but yes due to thyroid she do have pain in her body. For cervical she is not taking any medicines.
Currently, the problem she is facing is body pain especially pain in legs and knees. She is taking Crocin Pain Relief for getting relief and it do give instant relief but then the problem continues next day after she gets onto daily household works. These days i am also much concerned about her as we lost one of our family member due to Interestial Lung Diseases, so all stress that went threw her is also giving her tensions. I try to convince her that things will be alright again but yea i need her to be fit now.
Also i want ask is the medicines you mentioned are free from any side effects or maybe you can ask after effects ? Like consuming them are safe for the healthy living life ?
PS : Am attaching her medical prescription as well so please have a look at it.
Thanks
Hello.
Thank you for the follow up.
I have seen her prescription and i will like to know what are the medicines that she is currently on? They have given her all the medicines that she needs. I will advise you not to give Cetzine and instead of that give her Montek-LC as i advised earlier.
Montek-LC is a very safe drug and has no side effects. It travels to the lungs and opens up the congested bronchus thereby improving the breathing capacity. The only thing is it can make the patient slightly drowsy, hence it is given right before sleeping.
I will recommend along with the ECG you also get a plain chest x ray done and also get an x ray of the knees, if they have not been done recently. I was worried about her cholesterol values, but she has been advised Rosuvas from CGHS and that is enough to bring down the cholesterol. The encouraging part is apart from that her other reports are good.
Feel free to discuss further queries,
Regards.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
She actually stopped Rosuvas because the side effect of medicine was leading increase in her Suger level that's why we stopped it. That's why we were expecting a homeopathy course for her!

Hello Bharat,
Some patients rarely have that issue with Rosuvastatin.
However it is important for her to take cholesterol medicines, because it is a risk factor for Heart-Attack and Stroke and her values are quite high. The increase in blood glucose levels and HBA1c are only found with high doses such as 40 mg. I will advise you to talk to your local doctor who prescribed Rosuvas and instead get a prescription for Atrovastatin ( Lipitor ) 10/20 mg based on what she can tolerate.
You have to weigh out the risks and benfits of either sides.
Slight increase in sugar but with good cholesterol control is better than bad cholesterol and good sugar control.
My recommendation is switch to Tab. Lipitor 20 mg, if sugar levels increase then bring it down to 10 mg. But please give her the medicine to prevent future risks.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
What will be the dose timings or days ? Till when we need to continue this medicine also is their any serious side effects for this ?
Regards
Bharat
Hello.
Atorvastatin has to be continued till her cholesterol levels are aboslutely normal. Normally just like hypertension and DM, the medicines have to be continued life long.
It is very well tolerated, and Lipitor is the commonest drug used worldwide.
I genuinely feel it will be useful for your mother.
Hope this was conversation was fruitful,
