Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Your symptoms of lack of sleep alone do not pertain to adrenal or Thyroid disorder.
Sleep is a necessary physiological requirement and no human being can survive for these many years without getting adequate sleep as you seem to believe.
However, you may be having poor quality of sleep for which psychological counselling and sedatives may be required.
You need to consult a psychiatrist for the same.
You may get a Thyroid function test to rule out hyperthyroidism, which however seems unlikely in your case.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
Patient replied :
I do not have a psychological problem, which has already been agreed upoon by several psychiatrists and a psychotherapist as well whom I saw in person. They told me the cause is physical. I have had hypothyroidism for two decades and take thyroid for it, this has been tested. Do you have any helpful suggestions?
If you want to convince yourself that you don't have any adrenal disease causing lack of sleep, you can get your plasma Metanephrines or urinary catecholamines checked in consultation with a physician or endocrinologist. I do not think you have any such disorder. You can take sedatives for getting good sleep.
