Hello
Thank you for your query at doctorspring.com
Your echo report suggests that your husband has aortic aneursym of arch and ascending aorta. But you also mentioned it as mild. A large aneurysm of say around 55 mm is prone to rupture and we recommend surgery immediately.
Smaller aneurysm may progress over time to larger ones. So adequate followup is recommended.
Increased bloid pressure is a risk factor for aneurysm formation and rupture.
If he has a large aneurysm of say more than 50mm size he should probably avoid sexual activity as the increase in blood pressure during sexual activity may make him prone to rupture.
If the aneurysm is mild to moderate in size it will not be affected sexual activity. The good part is that his BP is now controlled. What needs to be seen is whether his bp drastically shoots up during an exertion like an inter course. If its mild to moderate sized and his bp is fairly controlled the the chances of rupture during such activity is low.
