I understand your concern.
Yes, it does seem like associated with an ingrown hair. Currently there is some inflammation, and the skin has eroded off. Avoid itching the area as far as possible, keep it clean, and apply Mupirocin ointment twice daily. It will heal in the next one week.
Let me know in a couple of days time whether there is any improvement.

Mupirocin is a prescription drug. Any otc recommendations or can use give a prescription
Yes, OTC drugs unfortunately won't help much.
And being an online platform, we can't give prescriptions.
However, you can apply Calamine lotion and keep the area clean. It will heal by itself.
