Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Your symptoms are suggestive of GERD and you need to take a course of Cap. Omeprazole 20 mg once daily before breakfast for 2 weeks. You can also take Simethicone tablets or GAS-X to relieve the bloating sensation. Once the bloating is relieved, automatically the pain and nausea will subside.
You need to avoid drinking as of now, till the symptoms subside.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

Hello Doctor,
THanks a lot for your valuable answer. I went through GERD symptoms and even i feel it may be GERD. I got Ultra Sound of my Abdomen in the nearby Hospital and everything is normal. I have not yet started with Omeprazole. I thought i will see for few days and then start with the course. Now i dont have stomach pain but have got bad dry cough from 3 days as if something is stuck in the throat. Even that might be because of GERD. I still have bloated stomach, indigestion, loss of appetite. How can i find out whether it is GERD or some other problem ? Or shall i start with Omeprazole and see the result? If yes, Which is the best and common brand of Omeprazole? What Medicine can i take for the cough?
Hello,
Yes, I will advise you try a course of Cap. Omeprazole ( Omez-20 ), once daily before breakfast.
We have to wait and see how you respond to it.
The only way to confirm is an endoscopy but I don't want you to go through that.
If Omez works well, even the coughing will subside.
So please continue it for 7 days and let me know.
Regards.
