Will tears in shoulder be cured in three months? MRI.

Resolved Question:

Last Friday, I had an MRI done by a second opinion doctor. Saw the doctor today for the result. The report shows that everything is fine but mild synovitis. I was shocked and even this doctor was surprised too because of the MRI I had last April showed lots of tears in my left shoulder which makes sense to me but this recent MRI shows nothing but mild synovitis. This doctor is going to talk with radiology and shows him the comparison of MRI of April and the recent MRI. Why these results are very different? Also I told doctor that I had three injections before MRI. One injection was for the numb, makes sense. One injection was for the medicine that was put in my shoulder ( no one explains to me) and one injection for the dye to put in for MRI, which makes sense to me, but why the medicine? This doctor has no idea but will find out about this. I came out of office with very confusion of a result and still suffer with pain at nights and days too. This doctor and I agreed to have a cortisone shot and to continue the physical therapy. So now it is at night time, the pain is awful. I am feeling more pain in my bicep where the screw is. This location is very painful. Does this have to do with my bicep?

Hello,
Thank you for getting back to me at DoctorSpring.com.
Its really strange that if previous MRI is showing multiple lesions & in a single present MRI there are no lesions. You should ask your radiologist to review MRI results again.
The present pain at screw region can be due to friction between screw & biceps.nThis can also be confirmed by MRI.
At present you may take a good anti inflammatory analgesic like ultracet. This will help you.
Hope this helps, would be glad to discuss further. Regards
