Hello.
Thanks for using DoctorSpring.com.
I can understand your problem.
You are suffering from otitis externa ( infection of external ear).
As skin of ear is tightly adherent to underlying bone, minimal inflammation and movement around the ear will cause severe pain. That's why you have pain on opening the jaw and pressing on the ear.
We can start following medication (all are safe during breast feeding) -
Tab Ranitidine 150 mg, half an hour before food, two times for 5 days.
Cap. Amoxicillin 500 mg, after food, two times for 5 days.
Tab Levocetrizine 5 mg, once at bedtime, for 5 days
Tab Aceclofenac 100 mg, after food, two times daily for 5 days.
In case your pain worsens, you may need examination by local ENT doctor.
Hope this helps.

Thanks doctor. ANy particular ear drops apart from med? is it safe to take medicines while feeding my baby?
Hello. Thank you for writing to us again.
Ear drops will not help because there is swelling in external ear canal
Aceoclofenac can be given with precaution if there is no history of bleeding disorder or gastric ulcer.
I think u can take Tab paracetamol ( calpol) 650 mg as and when required for pain relief instead of aceclofenac.
Hope this helps
Feel free to discuss further,

What could be possible prob? Wht should be done?

Hello,
Thank you for writing to us again.
As you have fluid like feeling/blocking sensation in ear with itching it may be eustachean tube(connecting tube between ear and nose).
But there is associated pain and tenderness also so this may be due to persistent infection as you did not complete medication or may be due to self cleaning.
There is possibility of fungal infection also
To confirm diagnosis you need examination by local ENT doctor.
You can start -
Tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg once in night for 5 days
Feel free to discuss further.
Hope this helps
