THIMAN PROBE used for examining urethra. Is it ok?

Resolved Question:

I went to the urologist with the symptoms: difficulty urinating (not emptied bladder: pee once then he stopped, pees again after 5 minutes and so 3 times).
my doctor explores my urethra with probe Thiman 18Ch without encountering obstacles.
after other investigation he found 3x4cm prostate.
diagnosis: Prostate cr.

prescribed Medication:
Levofloxacin 500 mg
Indomethacin suppositories
Lotensin 0.4mg
---
SEREN COMPLEX
1. is it a fair treatment, considering that I have hapatita B, and I recently underwent surgery to sinusitis and polyps?
2. it's ok to use probe Thiman in my case?

Hello,
Thank you for yur query at DoctorSpring.com

You need to let me know what is your age?
The dilatation done on you was not desirable and you could have been managed with medications.
You need to list the tests that have been done on you to suggest that you have prostate cancer.
The most common cause of such symptoms is either benign enlargement of prostate or infection.
You are on medications for treatment of infection.
You also need to start on Cap. Flomax under the care of your doctor.
Take care.
Feel free to discuss further,

Sincerely
Rajiv Goel

Hello, I'm 28 years old.
- Also I'm interested if my doctor proceeded right to investigate urethra with probe Thiman because it caused me pain?
- This is medication prescribed by my doctor(is an appropriate medication for prostate infection, or may have side effects):

  • Levofloxacin 500 mg
  • Indomethacin suppositories
  • Fokusin 0.4mg/day
  • SEREN COMPLEX(contains: Serenoa repens, fatty acids, Dandelion Root, Uva ursi, Juniper berry, Pumpkin seed oil)

Hello,

The doctor should not have investigated you with thiman probe.
You can't have prostate cancer or enlargement; you are two young for either of them.
You are on right medications but you should get yourself investigated with ultrasound KUB.
Feel free to discuss further,

Take care

Patient replied :

yes, my doctor investigated me with ultrasound KUB, and found residue postmictional 20-30ml and 3x4cm prostate.
the symptoms was: difficulty urinating (not emptied bladder: pee once then he stopped, pees again after 5 minutes and so 3 times). also he sayd that my urethra can be narrowed(thin), and for investigaton he used probe Thiman and found that is not narrowed.
1) Investigation with this probe does not cause damage?
2) which can be the causes of prostate inflammation in my case? (especially that I underwent treatment for prostate two years ago and it persists or reappeared) 3) prolonged stay (at Least 8 hours / day) in the chair can affect the prostate? 4) what rules I must follow besides medication not to have prostate problems, maybe a special diet, maybe a particular lifestyle?

Hello,

You will be fine with the treatment that your doctor has offered you. Please continue the same as of now.

Use of thiman probe shall not damage your urethra and you shall be fine.
Regards.

Dear sir
Thank you for the follow up.
It is very difficult to ascertain the cause of inflammation in prostate. Once inflammation sets in prostate it usually stays there and can get activated by itself at any point of time. Usually once inflammation gets activated it needs to be treated with a course of antibiotics.
When inflammation is active prolonged sitting can worsen the condition as well as symptoms.
There are known methods to decrease episodes of inflammation. However, you should eat healthy diet, avoid sitting at a stretch for long and have regular intercourse or masturbation.
Take care
Sincerely
