Last week I had infected ingrown toenail, which I was able to remove at home (Also nail fungus on that nail). It hurt while I was trimming it but toe feels fine now and no longer red or sore. Starting a day or two before I dealt with the ingrown toenail, the top and side of that foot became swollen and sore. It has remained swollen and sore since I dealt with toenail - past four days. I didn't think the swollen foot could be connected to the toenail, but just realized it might be. Since toe seems fine now, is it safe to wait to see if swelling goes down? Or is this a potential spreading infection that should be seen asap?Thank you!
