Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com.
Dear madam/sir,
It will be difficult to interpret with just one value of CBC stating low neutrophil count. The cellular composition in blood is in constant renewal process and sometimes there can be a fluctuation in values without symptoms and this is nothing to worry about.
On the other hand, rarely there can be some serious underlying disorder which needs extensive blood work up. I would need a peripheral smear to correlate and provide a definitive opinion.
-Can you please upload the peripheral smear result and other investigations, if any?
-Do you have any symptoms?
-Can you please mention the reason for undergoing this test?
I expect your reports at the earliest to ascertain the reason for your low neutrophil count.
Kind regards.
Patient replied :
I have attached the CBC results? this was a routine test .
what can you infer from the attached CBC results?
Hello.
With no symptoms and the test done routinely, the Neutrophil count can be taken as a normal variation now. You need not be worried at this time. I would recommend you to repeat the blood test along with a smear study after about 10 days. We can correlate the blood investigations and take it further if needed.
Kind regards.
