Risk associated with ACL SURGERY having tooth infection.

Resolved Question:

I'm scheduled to have knee surgery Thursday (ACL allograft). At the advice of my dentist I had a tooth removed to remove the infection I'd had the previous week from a failed root canal. Due to my work schedule this is my final day to have surgery until December. What are the true risks associated with ACL and a prior tooth infection? My PCP cleared me and thought the possibility of an infection wasn't an issue my surgeon seems to feel differently. All my blood work has been nothing but normal and I'm under 30. This will be my 4th knee surgery and I've had lots of dental problems but I always get them promptly attended to.
