Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
From your description, it seems like you have picked up an UTI, and thee is nothing suggestive of Diabetes from your history. I understand your stress stems from the fact that some of your family members have diabetes, but one episode of passing of cloudy urine, and slight fever with burning sensation all points toward UTI. I will advise you give your urine for routine examination and culture if possible. Once the sensitivity is identified, appropriate antibiotics will be started and your infection will subside.
If it is not possible to you to go to a doctor till tuesday then i will advise you keep drinking plenty of water and if the burning persists, then cranberry juice 2-3 glasses per day will be helpful. It helps by making the urine alkaline and hence the bacteria in the tract can't multiply. If you can't get the test done, you can start Tab. Norfloxacin 400 mg twice daily for 5 days along with plenty of water ( 3-4 liters ) per day. This will limit the infection and help it subside.
Regards.

Hi there, thank you for responding. Just to clarify, as it helps with the anxiety. I'm not sure if i've experienced burning, maybe twice when i've stopped urinating i feel burning a little bit, but it may be because of anxiety and the fact that i'm stressing over it, i may be seeing what im looking for, so to speak. Also the frequent urination and the strong smell still kinda freaks me out. When i think about it, it definitely seems like a UTI but im always concerned about diabetes. Should i be concerned that there is no burning sensation? I read that it is possible to have a UTI without burning, and i think it has burned a little bit. The biggest problem by far is my anxiety, so just trying to rule out possibilities. Thank you for responding, it's very helpful to clarify these things.
Definitely Sir. You should clarify all your doubts.
Anxiety is itself detrimental for health and anything causing anxiety should be clarified, and hence i am here to help you.
See at times the urine smells strong, possibly because it is more acidic, and it happens in UTI too. Some UTIs can be there with very minimal burning or no burning at all.
As i assess your overall history, i can assure you there is nothing suggestive of diabetes. I hope it helps your anxiety. However please do get treated for UTI soon, before the infection gets worse.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.
