My sister-in-law has been suffering from abdomen pain, once in every year, for the last 7 years.
The local doctors diagnosed it as pancreatic problem and the Amylase count in the blood was 985 on the first day and after 3 days, now it has come down to 119. The impression of the abdomen scan is "Echo genic pancreatic with dilation of pancreatic duct - pancreatic" . But the pain has not come down considerably and it is slowly coming down. our doctor is administering the following medicines
1. RANTENE INJECTION
2. OMEPROZOLE INJECTION
3. AMYPRICA 250 INJECTION
4. BUSCOPEN INJECTION
5. ZENFLOX - OZ
6. PIPERACILLIN AND TAZO BACTUM
PLEASE ADVISE THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM AND REMEDIAL ACTIONS AND ALSO PERMANENT SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

Your sister in law is probably suffering from acute on chronic pancreatitis. A MRI with MRCP scan should be done for further evaluation.
Pancreas is needed for digestion. When the pancreas gets damaged, digestion gets affected.
Blood glucose level should also be checked. If she has high blood glucose, she should be treated for it.
If she has fat malabsorption and diarrhea, she should take pancreatic enzyme supplements.

please let me know, the cause of the pain and if the amylase level has any relevance to the pain.If so why the pain has not come down even if the amylase level has come to normal

Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.
As I mentioned in my earlier post that it could be due to acute on chronic pancreatitis.
In acute lesions there is any increase in the amylase level. Since she has chronic pancreatitis feature also, the continuing pain could be due to that.
Pancreatic enzyme supplements may be given.
If there is no pain relief, other options should be tried like ERCP, surgery or a celiac ganglion block.
You can discuss with her doctor about these options.
