Hello,
Kindly see the updated reply, this has been given by another Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Tiwari..
Hello Matt,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your question with diligence. Looking at all the pictures and well presented pictures ,I have reached to conclusion that most probably all your symptoms are related with abnormal posture in front of computer.
The problem of tingling or numbness or abnormal sensation at your hand is due to carpal tunnel syndrome which happens due to excessive extension at computer key board. You may start wearing carpal tunnel splint and avoid abnormal position of hand and wrist during computer use.You may also take preparation of vitamin B6 for three times a day for 2 weeks.Research have shown good results in CTS.
Pain at back looks to be part of levator scapulae syndrome. It may be due to posture of continuously drooping shoulders, which in turn stretches the trapezius and elevator scapulae muscles.Giving frequent breaks in front of computer, doing stretching exercises in between, applying warm compresses over back are beneficial in this. You may take a mild analgesic like Tylenol for this.
Please feel free to discuss further,
Hope this all will help you.
