im on Yasmin for 2 month, 4 days ago I had an unprotected sex with ejaculation inside. Today i started antibiotic (Amoxicilin&Clavulanic Acid 1g). is there risk of pregnancy? didnt have sex since then. please advise. Dina

Secondly, all antibiotics have the potential to cause diarrhoea and vomiting as side effects, which further reduce the efficacy of pills.

Thanks Doctor please be patient with me. So what i need to be sure of is, would antibiotics cause the risk of pregnancy even if i started them 4 days after intercourse? (no sex after the last time and have been taking my pills in a correct way before and after intercourse). does taking two yasmin pills for few days makes more guaranteed to avoid pregnancy?

As I already said previously, since you are starting antibiotics 4 days AFTER unprotected intercourse, you would be protected against pregnancy.
Please do not worry.
Do not take extra pills, but continue one pill daily as per schedule. For the rest of the month, use condoms whenever you have intercourse.
