Hello.
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I need some more details.
When was her LMP? What is the duration of her cycles? On what date did you have sex with your fiancee?
I understand you have written down already that it is on 25 but i just need to confirm the exact date with you.
Once you do i can guide you further.
However if you meant to say that she just finished her periods one day prior, and assuming that she has regular cycles, it is extremely unlikely that she will get pregnant.
Regards.
Patient replied :
no her periods will start on 25th and we had sex on 24
Hello.
Then there is absolutely no reason to worry.
Just for your information sake, a woman can get pregnant if she has unprotected intercourse in the middle of her cycle. The chances are high around the 10th to 18th day. Though we recommend not having unprotected intercourse between the 8th-22nd day of her cycle just for extra precautions.
There is absolutely no need to be worried here.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.

thank u so much doctor... one more thing i want to clear. if unprotected sex done on her in between theperiods third or fourth day can she get pregnant
Hello.
It is extremely unlikely in women with regular 26-30 days cycles.
Only in some rare cases, where a woman has very short cycles like ranging around 18-20 days, there is a theoretical possibility of the woman getting pregnant, since sperms can remain viable in certain cases inside the vagina for up to 5 days after unportected intercourse.
In your case it is not possible, since your fiancee is healthy and has regular cycles.
Try to avoid unprotected intercourse from the 8th to 22nd day of her cycle to be absolutely safe.
Hope this was helpful,
Regards.

hi doctor today is 26th but her periods not started yet. wat to do
Hello.
Thank you for the follow up.
Since this is your last follow up i will put all details.
Periods can be late by a day or two. There is nothing to be worried about in that case. Even stress can lead to a delay in period. If unprotected intercourse only happened a day before the expected period date, then there is absolutely no reason to be worried about pregnancy. Please wait and it will happen. However if there is any possibility that there was unprotected intercourse before this event, in the middle of her cycle then we can't rule out pregnancy.
But from the history you have provided, please do not be worried. I think you should wait for another 2-3 days.
Regards.
