Resolved question:
I have been having low back pain off and on for several years old patientnow. When I stand for like 30 minutes or so or stand at the sink washing dishes, my lower back tends to get stiff and achy or pained. My range of motion, when stiff, is limited. Also, after bending over for a certain amount of time, when I go to sit I can see and feel my legs shake some. Is that related to anything from my back issues? I have a weak back. I know that dehydration can cause my muscles to not work right or something. I am dehydrated some. I am obese and have extra large breasts, in which is part of my back pain, I know. What are some possibilities that could be going on with my lower back? I know that sciatica runs down the leg, but is it possible for me to have sciatica without the pain going down my leg? Thanks

Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your symptoms, and they are suggestive of lower back problem.
The most common possibility is lumbar disc disease, where the disc (soft tissue located between the vertebral bodies) bulge out and press on the nerves arising from the lower back region. If the pinching of nerves is severe, the pain may radiate down the leg (sciatica); otherwise, the pain remains in the lower back.
Other possibility is spasm of lower back muscles. This occurs most often due to wring posture, being overweight, and weakness of lower back muscles.
Vitamin D deficiency should also be excluded.
Initial evaluation would consist of doing MRI scan of lumbo-sacral spine.
