Lightheadedness, fatigue, chest pressure with VESTIBULAR MIGRAINE.

Resolved question:
Hi, my name is tiffiny Kajewski & I've been diagnosed with vestibular migraines.. I've suffered these for 18 months now. I've tried Valium (on it for 1 mth and helped tremendously!!), amitryptiline, phenergan, stemetil (unsuccessfully) & am now on pizotifen 1.5mg. I have dizzy turns at least 2/3 times a week and it effects my work and home life immensely. It hit out of nowhere & the symptoms I feel daily are lightheadedness, fatigue, derealisation, migraine pain, ear pressure and fullness, head pressure, motion sensitivity, visual vertigo, light sensitivity (esp Flourescent), dry mouth, faintness, dizziness, Chest pressure/fullness, hyperventilation, panic & anxiety..
I've followed the migraine diet also. I don't know what else to do. I've had ct brain scans, ECG, all blood work, balance and hearing tests, X-rays, Vrt, CBT, & I don't know what else todo..
Is it safe for me to take meclizine with pizotifen? Would you recommend any particular medication?? I will literally do anything for relief and some of my life back!! :(

Many thanks,
Tiffiny Kajewski

Hello,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have noted your symptoms and can understand the discomfort you are facing.
You can take the combination of meclizine with pizotifen.
In my experience, I have also used flunarizine (Sibelium) with great success in my patients with vestibular migraine. This medication greatly reduces the frequency and severity of attacks.
Best wishes,

Hi,
thank you for your reply. Would this medication be safe to take though I have low blood pressure ?
its not often I hear of others having the same type of illness - i thought I was going mad at one point!
do you prescribe medication? Would the sebelium aid the anxiety & panic?? That is horrid for me recently, & most times I'm sure that the anxiety and panic are worse than the actual attack at times!
Thank you for your help,
its hard to get advice where I live (hence me going online!)
many thanks,
Tiffiny

Thank you for getting back.
It is safe to take Flunarizine (Sibelium) in people with low blood pressure. This partly helps in depression, but has no significant effects on reducing anxiety and panic.
Clonazepam tablets would help in reducing anxiety and panic.
