Hello.
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com.
Your muscles becoming thinner and harder is most likely due to your myopathy.
Inability to swallow food could be due to dysphagia(diificulty in swallowing) as a result of the same myopathy. I assume you have been evaluated with a muscle biopsy or other tests when you were diagnosed with myopathy. The difficulty in swallowing can also occur due to severe anorexia, as part of anxiety or depression.
Feces, apart from undigested food contain a large amount of gut bacteria. If there is intestinal parasitic infestation, the feces can also contain parasitic larvae and eggs. So contact with such feces can lead to auto-infection, increasing the degree of infection. The bacteria in stool themselves can be infectious in other body sites such as the uro-genital tract, skin, etc. Ingestion of fecal contaminated water can lead to a variety of gut infections. All these would result in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever etc.
The main concern from contact with human feces is infection and your symptoms do not seem to be related to the contact with feces.
In my opinion, your myopathy and dysphagia should be clinically evaluated for an exact diagnosis. You can consult your GP in this regard.
If that evaluation does not yield any positive results, you will need to consult a psychiatrist for appropriate management of anxiety and depression.
I hope this was helpful.
