Hello I would like to request you to provide a few more details. 1. Are your cycles regular ? 2. Do you mean FSH ( you have written FST ) 3. How long have you been trying to conceive ? 4. Do you have any children or have you conceived earlier ? 5. What is your height and body weight ? 6. Do you have any other medical risk factors ? 7. Is your husband's semen analysis normal ? 8. Can you upload the test reports instead of typing the values manually as different labs have different normal ranges ? Looking forward to hearing from you. Take care.

Hello again.
Basically, with age, the ovaries in a woman start ageing.
This is because a woman is born with a fixed number of eggs in the ovaries, and each month, they get used up.
After 35, this reserve of the ovaries falls drastically.
IT is called ovarian reserve ( OR ) and determines your ability to get pregnant. OR is best measured by measuring the level of AMH .
In your case, the AMH is very low, it indicates a poor OR.
That means, your ability to produce good quality and good number of eggs is very low, as is expected at this age.
Realistically speaking, you can go for 3 - 6 cycles of follicular monitoring and timed intercourse around ovulation.
If 3 cycles fail, consider IVF ( in vitro fertilization. ).
You might need to use donor eggs if you do not ovulate, inspite of good doses of medications and injections to stimulate egg growth.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Maam,
Till what age IVF works successfully.
is it advisable at my age.
also whether the process is very painful and complicated.
Also is it expensive.
Hello. IVF can definitely be used in the 40s.
Success rates vary from 15 - 35 %, depending on various factors.
In your case, I would go for maximum 3 cycles of stimulation and see your response to drugs and injections.
If the response is good, IVF can be tried with your own eggs, or else, with donor eggs.
IVF is not painful, but it can be called complicated as it calls for patience and involves repeated visits to the clinic.
It is expensive too, in the sense, that in most major cities, one cycle would cost atleast Rs. 1.5 - 2 lakhs, depending on the centre.
Take care.
