Hello, With reference to your query regarding the red rash in the groin area with little lumps surrounding the testicles and half the shaft of the penis. You have already used Tinactin that gave little relief but came back within a week or so. In view of this it looks like that you have got fungal infection in the groin area that mostly affects men. It looks like there is a worm under the skin and also called as Ringworm although no worm is involved actively. They are commonly found on the skin but under certain conditions they multiply dramatically causing irritation and tissue damage. It is a Tinea infection caused by dermatophytes. They thrive in areas where skin comes in contact with inner thighs, groin and lower buttocks. It is seen in over weight, wearing tight clothing, which sweat a lot and also in hot humid weather. It is often painful and itchy but not in every case. There will be inflammation of the groin, slightly raised patch, sharp borders associated with oozing or crusting .To confirm this, a scraping should be done and confirm it under the microscope. Usually it responds to anti fungal creams and powders but if it persists more than 2 or 3 weeks despite anti fungal medication, then you must consult your dermatologist. Thank you.
