Hi,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Your ALT level is mildly raised. The most probable cause is the fatty liver.
Fatty liver disease is the most common cause of altered liver function.
Some of the common causes of fatty liver are obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol and alcohol intake.
So if you are obese, you need to reduce weight. If you consume alcohol, you need to stop it.
Though you are not a diabetic, your urine glucose is positive. So get a glucose tolerance test done.
Get a lipid profile test done to see if cholesterol is within normal limits.
For reflux and sore throat, take Iladac-L once before breakfast for 4 weeks.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
Patient replied :
Obesity - I am not obese. I am 5' 8" weighing 68.5kg. So it is within BMI
Alcohol - I dont use alcohol
Diabetes - I have checked my fasting blood sugar in 2 different brand glucometers, both shows 85, which is in normal range, but when I checked urine with benedict solution, it shows a slight green colour.
Lipid Profile - I will check that and get back to you. Last time I checked, it was last year. It was all normal then. I will check it again and update you.
I will check GTT and lipid profile and return back to you. Is there anything more other than this that I should do?
Hi,
No.
Just get back to me with the GTT and the Lipid profile results.
Further testing and treatment can be planned after that.

Dr.R.K.

Hi
I did the checkups. Attaching alongwith the latest test results. I have been taking Liv 52, 2 tablets each ,3 times a day.
I was taking few vitamin tablets to prevent hair loss which I stopped when I saw the adverse blood results. Attaching the list of medicines which I was having and I kindly request you to give your advice on whether its ok if i start to have them again?
Should I continue using Liv 52 or reduce the quantity or anything at all?
Kindly requesting you to provide me with info on what I should do next and how I should follow them.
Thank you
Your reports are fine, justl slight elevation of SGPT.
Just continue LIV 52 DS 2-0-1 2 empty stomach in the morning, and 1 in the night before sleeping.
You do not need anything else as of now.
Regards.
