Hello,
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern
Taking a second dose of an I pill is not advised due to adverse effects on woman's body. I pill containing Levonorgestrel is already a very high dose of hormone which is sufficient to prevent pregnancy. There is no advantage of the second pill. Frequent use of I pill may also reduce its efficacy.
Please take home urine pregnancy test after a week and consult your doctor if it is positive.
Hope it helps
Feel free to discuss further

Hi i don't think I've taken ipill since almost two years now so assuming it won't effect its efficieny, i wanted to know what are the chances of pregnancy? Also just a bit of background I had taken primolut n twice a day to postpone my periods in April from 4th night till 12th night once i stopped them i got my periods in 3-4 days but my flow was less than usual and i thought i ll probably get them again. Also, after stopping primolut n i was having some infection to which my gynac has prescribed tablet lysoflam twice a day and tab zifu cv 200 mg twice a day for 5 days could that also be the reason to irrigular flow? In the last three days (29th, 30th April and 1st May) I was getting random short span crams in my lower abdomen mainly on the sides and there was slight blood with white sticky fluid take came out once on 30th april eve after i finished my cardio work out ( i did exercise after more than 10 days), i was under the impression my periods were going to start again but nothing happened after that. Will that also have any effect? what are the chances of the ipill not working?
Hello,
Thanks for getting back.
Chances of pregnancy are very less if emergency pill taken within 12 hours. It is 95% effective in preventing pregnancy so rest assured. Still there 5 % chances that pregnancy will occur as with any normal woman. Primolut may cause irregular periods but not tab.lysoflam or tab zifu. Withdrawal bleeding should occur in 2 to 3 days after taking the pill.
Thanks
