Hi,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Pain in the right upper abdomen can occur due to many different causes. Some of the common causes are gallbladder disease, peptic ulcer disease and pancreatitis.
So your pain may be due to any one of these causes.
You can get an ultrasound scan, an upper GI endoscopy and serum amylase and lipase done to know the cause.
If it is due to pancreatitis , your serum amylase and lipase levels would be high.
You can take Prilosec and ultracet for relief till you meet your doctor.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if there are any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
