Thanks for your question and concern. I would suggest you to visit your primary care provider as they can provide you a complete and accurate diagnosis of your problem, or issue or the disease if you are suffering from any related to the genital warts. In case you are in doubt and need some kind of second opinion regarding your problem or issue then you could probably consult a dermatologist. There is a virus that is responsible for causing genital warts in many a people who have unprotected sex and this virus is known as HPV and this infection can easily spread from one person onto the other one through different types of sexual contacts that involves mouth, anus or vagina. The warts in the genitals may not be visible to you for the first 4-6 weeks or months or even years. Because there are chances that you come in contact with such genital warts but you don’t develop them. The tendency of having the genital warts is more with who have sex with multiple partners, or with some who suffered from some sexual infection, to the ones who become active in sexual activities at a very early age, alcohol and tobacco consumers, in case of pregnancy, if you are stressed out and having the herpes infection also both at one time, and most probably when you keep ill and have formed a weak immune system. In case your child is found to be suffering from the genital warts then the most possible cause can be sexual abuse. The areas in male that are more prone to the genital warts are scrotum, penis, thighs, groin area, around the anus may be inside it or outside. The genital warts may also occur on the lips, tongue, mouth and throat. Best wishes.
