Resolved question:
Hello,
I was putting on my shoe when I noticed some discoloration and abrasions on the bottom of my foot. (see attached photo). The discolored area has had the top layer of skin worn away. There are signs of the skin peeling surrounding the effected area. The skin is now very rough and appears to almost have a number of mini craters, some big enough to hold a little bit of dirt.
Only affecting my right foot. The affected area stings a little bit, probably a 3/10 when I put pressure on it directly or if I scrunch my foot. I noticed the discomfort first on Friday, but didn't notice anything out of sorts when I took a look. This seems to have sprung up pretty fast, so I obviously have some concern about this.
I do work out regularly, and had noticed the onset of discomfort after a work out. I had not showered in the gym that day, though I have in the recent past.
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I purchased a new pair of workout sneakers on Tuesday of this week.
Thank you so much

Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com.
I can understand your concern.
You have pitted keratolysis which is a bacterial infection of the skin caused by corynebacterium.
I would recommend application of fucidin cream on it twice daily for 2 weeks.
That will help resolving the condition.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care
